Nambucca Valley Landcare and OzFish Unlimited recently hosted a community planting day at Congarinni South. We planted approximately 600 trees with the help of wonderful volunteers! These trees support recent riverbank restoration works undertaken by Nambucca Valley Landcare as part of a project with Nambucca Valley Council, supported by North Coast Local Land Services for the Australian Government Regional Land Partnerships Program.
Over 2,500 local, native plants will be planted along the river at 4 properties at Congarinni South and North to support the installation of rock fillets which protect the banks from erosion and will provide mangrove and fish habitat into the future.
